What a beautiful Pacific Ocean panorama sunrise this is along Oahu Hawaii's east coast in the town of Kailua. Many people from all over the world come here and Lanikai Beach, just around the corner, each morning to watch the sun come up. People walk the beach and swim clubs swim up and down this stretch of shoreline. Enjoy!

This beach faces east into the "trade winds," the waves are small for the kids and there are lifeguard stations and restrooms here as well. The aqua green water is shallow and slowly tapers off with little or NO undertow. There are spacious restrooms with changing areas and outdoors showers to get the sand off before leaving in your car. Kailua Beach Park offers a picture perfect outdoor experience. One of the best beach on Oahu, the fine sandy beach is protect by Kailua Bay which makes for gentle waves. A perfect place to take a swim. The trade winds bring in a cool breeze, allowing one to really enjoy the amble picnic areas in this park.
