Well as you can see the views, on this somewhat steep difficult but doable Lanikai Pillboxes Hike are out of this world amazing. The hike is fairly short but if you carry a heavy camera and tripod as I did the trip down can be slippery. Hawaii is full of all kinds of awesome hiking possibilities. This view is looking back down the trail toward the beautiful golf club called the Mid Pacific Country Club on the middle left of the image and located in the upscale community of Kailua, Hawaii. Enjoy and buy this image for someone you love.

Lanikai Beach is located in Lanikai, a community in the town of Kailua and on the windward coast of Oahu, Hawaii. The name Lanikai means "heavenly sea." This small ½ mile strip of beach is consistently ranked among the best beaches in the world. The two islands on the horizon are the Mokulua Islands, a popular kayaking destination. Adjacent to Lanikai Beach is a primarily upper-class residential area because of this it is accessible through public beach access paths. Although the beach itself is public property, it is not state land and is not a county beach park like many beaches in Hawaii. There is no public parking lot and the area lacks facilities like restrooms, showers or lifeguards. Parking violations are strictly enforced and access to the beach is made possible between some of the house.
