Description
This was a sunset shot on the Jerry and Laura Kearney Farm on Walker Church Road in Greene County near Granite Shoals Marina on Lake Oconee.
Greene County, Georgia lies approximately one (1) hour from Athens, Atlanta and Macon. This area is known for its lush green beauty. Greensboro offers fishing, swimming, boating, beautiful golf courses, and is home to one of America's 20 Hottest Bass Lakes, Lake Oconee.
Lake Oconee serves as a reservoir for Georgia Power Company's Wallace Hydroelectric Plant. The lake has 374 miles of shoreline with a surface area of 18,971 acres. It is formed by the Oconee and Appalachee Rivers. The lake's height is only 120 feet.
