Rural America Flag Art
This is NOT the Gadsden Flag of the American Revolution but set high in this huge Georgia pine tree I thought it was the right "Title" for this flag artwork piece. The flag of late has taken a lot of abuse and disrespect. Someone wanted this American flag out of the reach of most people looking to do her harm or take her down. I say, "Well done!" For those of us who are War Veterans, "Old Glory" means a deal! Enjoy!
The Gadsden flag is a historical American flag with a yellow field depicting a rattlesnake coiled and ready to strike. Positioned below the rattlesnake are the words "DONT TREAD ON ME". The flag is named after American general and politician Christopher Gadsden (1724�1805), who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. It was used by the Continental Marines as an early motto flag, along with the Moultrie Flag.
